Namibia’s oil and gas sector is expanding, promising economic opportunities and industry transformation. However, ensuring that these opportunities are fully accessible to differently abled entrepreneurs remains a challenge.
Faith Abled Foundation, is committed to breaking barriers and advocating for systemic inclusion from the outset of these opportunities.
At the recent Civil Society Organizations & Rights Holders Capacity Building Workshop, hosted by the Africa Institute of Environmental Law (AIEL) and the Council of Churches in Namibia (CCN), valuable conversations took place on sustainable development and economic diversification.
Faith engaged with key stakeholders on policy alignment, accessibility frameworks, and economic inclusion.
We recognize the efforts made by CCN and AIEL in creating a space for meaningful dialogue, reinforcing a growing commitment to accessibility.
However, we also understand that trust must be rebuilt among differently abled professionals who have historically faced barriers to participation. Many remain hesitant, having endured past social exclusion, and this is precisely why the Faith Abled Foundation continues to advocate for true inclusion—beyond symbolic representation, toward actionable accessibility measures.
Moving forward, we aim to deepen engagement with organizations like CCN and AIEL, ensuring that participation is not conditional, but an embedded standard in industry policy discussions.
Through EquiAccess Energy, we remain committed to ensuring that Namibia’s oil and gas sector reflects equity, opportunity, and full participation for all.
